Anticc cleans and repairs gutters across Chatham, the Medway towns and Kent. We clear the leaves, moss and silt out of the gutters and downpipes, fix leaks and sagging runs, and check the water runs away properly. We’re roofers, so we know what a failing gutter looks like and what it’s doing to the wall behind it. Whether it needs a clean, a repair or both, we tell you straight.
Signs your gutters need cleaning or repair
Blocked gutters rarely fail quietly. If you’ve noticed any of the signs below, get them looked at before the next heavy rain.
- Dark streaks, green staining or damp patches on the wall below
- Water spilling over the front of the gutter in the rain
- Plants, moss or grass growing out of the gutter
- Drips at the joints, or water running down the wall behind a downpipe
- Gutters that look full, or sag between the brackets
- Standing water left in the gutter after rain
Left alone, blocked or leaking gutters send water down the wall and into the brickwork, which is a common cause of damp.

What Changes the Job
The length of guttering and the number of storeys
Access, and whether a tower or scaffold is needed to reach it safely
How blocked the gutters are, as compacted moss, silt and plants take longer to clear
Whether an extension, garage or conservatory has its own gutter runs
Whether repairs are needed, and how much of the gutter is affected.
Whether the downpipes are blocked and need unblocking too
Gutter cleaning starts from £75. Repairs are priced after the survey. We give you a fixed written price, rather than a figure over the phone.

Questions People Ask
Do you clean or repair gutters on their own, without other work?
Yes. Gutter cleaning and gutter repairs are jobs in their own right. You don’t need anything else done.
How often should gutters be cleaned?
Most houses need it at least once a year, usually in autumn once the leaves are down. Gutters under trees, or with a lot of moss, can need it twice.
Can you repair leaking gutters?
Yes. Leaking joints, sagging runs and gutters pulling away are common after heavy rain. We find the cause at the survey, show you, and give you a written price before we start.
What does the drone check show?
A short flight along the roof edge before we quote. It shows blockages, standing water and damage that are hard to see from the ground, and we can show you the footage.
Do you need scaffolding?
Usually not. If the height or access means we need a tower or scaffold, we’ll tell you at the survey and it will be in the written price.
What if my gutters are beyond repair?
If a gutter is too damaged to repair properly, we’ll tell you straight and quote a replacement separately. See our Fascias, Soffits and Guttering service.
