Plaster Put Back Too Soon Blows Again
Most of the failed plaster we are called to look at is not bad plastering. It is good plaster applied to a wall that was still wet, or over salts that were never dealt with.
It looks perfect for a few months. Then the finish bubbles, the paint lifts and the patch comes back.
We Deal With the Wall First
If the wall has been damp we check that the cause has been fixed and that the wall is ready to be covered.
Where salts are present we use a salt resistant system rather than a standard finish, so the new plaster is not fighting the wall.
Then we plaster it and tell you honestly how long to leave it before decorating.

How long before I can paint new plaster?
It needs to be properly dry, and how long that takes depends on thickness, the room and the time of year. We will give you a timescale. Painting too early is the most common reason a finish fails.
Can you plaster over damp?
No, and anyone who says they can is setting you up for a repeat job. The cause has to be fixed and the wall has to be ready.
Do you do ceilings?
Yes, including overboarding and replastering ceilings.
Will it be messy?
Plastering is dusty. We sheet up, protect floors and clean down afterwards, and we will tell you which rooms will be out of use.
Can you match an existing decorative finish?
