Anticc replaces fascias, soffits, bargeboards and guttering across Chatham, the Medway towns and Kent in UPVC. We remove the old boards, inspect and replace rotten roof timbers underneath, and fit new roofline and guttering with the falls set correctly. Work is usually carried out alongside a re-roof while the scaffolding is already up, and carries a ten year insurance backed guarantee.

The Point Where Patching Stops Paying

The fast way to do this job is to screw new UPVC over the existing timber. The roofline looks new the same afternoon.

Underneath, wet and rotten rafter ends carry on rotting where nobody can see them, and the guttering is still hanging off timber that is failing. It is one of the most common shortcuts in this trade.

We Take the Old Boards Off

The old fascia and soffit come off so we can see the rafter feet and the wall plate.

Anything rotten gets cut out and replaced. We photograph it, so you can see what was there before it went behind the new boards.

Then the new roofline goes on, and the guttering is set with the right fall to the downpipe.

Questions People Ask

  • Can you just cap over the existing timber?

We do not work that way. If the timber underneath is sound it is a straightforward job, and if it is not, capping over it hides a problem that will cost you more later.

  • Should I do this at the same time as a new roof?

Yes, if you can. The scaffolding is already up, so you are not paying for access twice, and the roofline and the roof edge get detailed together properly.

  • How long does it take?

Most houses are one to three days depending on the length of the roofline and what is found underneath.

  • Will you fix my guttering falls?

Yes. Gutters that do not fall to the outlet overflow and send water down the wall, which is a common cause of damp. We set the fall and test it with water.

  • Do you clear gutters as a separate job?

We will clear and check them as part of other work. If clearing is all you need, ring us and we will tell you honestly whether it is worth a visit on its own.
