Every job Anticc completes is covered for ten years on both workmanship and materials, starting the day the work is finished. The guarantee is insurance backed through the Confederation of Roofing Contractors, which means the cover does not depend on Anticc still being in business. You get the certificate in writing, and we can show you the paperwork before you commit to anything.

A Guarantee Is Only Worth the Company Behind It

Most guarantees in this trade are a promise from the firm that did the work. If that firm closes, the promise closes with it. It is one of the main reasons people worry about who they hire.

Ours is underwritten. The Confederation of Roofing Contractors backs it with insurance, so if we stopped trading tomorrow your cover would still stand. That is the whole point of it.

What the Guarantee Covers

  • Faulty workmanship on the work we carried out.
  • Faulty materials that we supplied and fitted.
  • Ten years from the date the work is completed.
  • A written certificate naming the property and describing the work

What the Guarantee Does
Not Cover

We would rather you read this before you sign than find out afterwards.

  • Storm damage, weather damage and natural events. These are outside the control of the work we carried out.
  • Normal wear and tear, and anything that needed routine maintenance.
  • Damage caused by work that someone else carried out afterwards, or by alterations made without our agreement.
  • Cosmetic cracking or blemishes that do not affect how the work performs.
  • Consequential loss, meaning knock on costs rather than the repair itself.
  • Anything reported outside the notice period. A defect needs to be reported to us in writing within 21 days of being discovered, and we need the chance to come and inspect it.
  • The guarantee becomes valid once the work has been paid for in full.

If Something Goes Wrong

Call us first. Ring 01634 779593 or freephone 0800 191 0526 and tell us what you are seeing, and follow it up in writing so the notice period is covered.

We will arrange to come and inspect it. If it is down to our workmanship or the materials we fitted, we put it right. If it turns out to be something else, we will tell you what it is and what it would take to fix.

Questions About the Guarantee

  • Is Anticc roofing work guaranteed?

Yes. Every job carries a ten year guarantee on workmanship and materials from the day we finish, and it is insurance backed through the Confederation of Roofing Contractors.

  • What does insurance backed actually mean?

It means an insurer stands behind the guarantee rather than just us. If Anticc stopped trading, your cover would still be in place. A guarantee that depends on the company surviving is worth a lot less.

  • When does the guarantee start?

On the day the work is completed, once the job has been paid for in full.

  • Does it cover storm damage?

No. Storm and weather damage sit outside the guarantee because they are not caused by the workmanship or the materials. Your buildings insurance is normally the route for that, and we can carry out the repair.

  • How quickly do I need to report a problem?

In writing within 21 days of noticing it, and we need to be given the chance to inspect it before any other work is done to that area.

  • Can I see the certificate before I commit?

Yes. Ask and we will show you a copy of the certificate and the backing paperwork before you agree to anything.
