Anticc carries out full new roofs and re-roofs across Chatham, the Medway towns and Kent.
We strip the old covering, replace damaged timbers, fit a new breathable membrane, battens and your chosen tile or slate, and finish with new leadwork, dry ridge and dry verge. Every roof is surveyed by drone before we quote and every job carries a ten year insurance backed guarantee.
The Point Where Patching Stops Paying
Most people arrive here after a run of repairs. A slipped tile, then another one, then a damp patch on a bedroom ceiling that dries out and comes back the next time it rains hard.
The difficulty is knowing when repairs have stopped being the sensible option. From the ground you cannot see the membrane, the battens or the state of the timbers, so you are guessing, and so is anyone quoting without looking properly.
Then you get three quotes that look nothing like each other and no way to tell which one is right.
The Drone Goes Up Before Anything Else
We fly the roof and show you the footage. You see the condition of the covering, the ridge, the valleys, the flashing and the chimney the same way we do.
If the timbers and the membrane are sound and the problem is one area, we will tell you a repair is enough. We would rather do the smaller job and be the people you call next time.
If the covering has come to the end of its life, the membrane has failed and the slipped tiles keep coming back, we will show you why and quote for the re-roof.
How the Job Runs
01
Free drone survey, and you see the footage before we talk about the job.
02
A written itemised quote, with the scaffolding included and the timber repairs set out up front.
03
Scaffolding goes up and the old covering comes off, down to the timbers.
04
Damaged rafters and battens replaced. This is the part nobody can see until the roof is open, which is why we price it up front rather than leaving it open.
05
New breathable membrane, new battens, then the tile or slate.
06
Leadwork, dry ridge and dry verge fitted, chimney flashing made good.
07
Photos and video sent through as each stage finishes, so you can follow it from work.
This is the bit people tell others about
08
Guttering checked and cleared, site swept, scaffolding and rubbish gone the day we finish.
What Changes the Job
Roof size, shape and pitch, and how many valleys, hips and dormers there are.
Access, and how much scaffolding the property needs.
The covering you choose, from concrete tile through to natural slate.
How much of the timber underneath needs replacing once the roof is open.
Whether the fascias, soffits and guttering are being done at the same time, which is usually the sensible moment while the scaffolding is up.
Chimneys, and whether the leadwork and flaunching need attention.
We give you a fixed written price after the survey, not a figure over the phone.
What We Fit
COVERING
- Concrete and clay tiles, plain and interlocking.
- Natural and fibre cement slate.
UNDERNEATH
- Breathable roofing membrane rather than old style felt.
- Dry ridge and dry verge systems, which are mechanically fixed rather than relying on mortar that cracks and lets water in.
EDGES AND DETAILS
- Code lead for flashing, valleys and chimney work.
- New UPVC fascias, soffits and guttering where they are being replaced alongside.
Ten Years, Insurance Backed
Every job we finish carries a ten year guarantee on workmanship and materials, insurance backed through the Confederation of Roofing Contractors.
The cover does not rest on Anticc still trading. If we stopped tomorrow, your guarantee would still stand

Questions People Ask
How do I know if I need a new roof or a repair?
The drone survey answers it. Sound timbers and a failed section is a repair. A covering at the end of its life with a failed membrane and repeat slipped tiles is where a re-roof stops being throwing money at it. We tell you which one you are looking at and show you the footage.
How long does a re-roof take?
Two to five working days for most Medway properties, depending on size, pitch, access and the weather. You get a timeline with the quote.
Will I need to move out?
No. It is noisy during the day and there will be scaffolding up, but you can live in the house throughout.
What happens if it rains mid job?
The roof is never left open and exposed overnight or through bad weather. We sheet it and plan the strip around the forecast.
Do you replace the guttering at the same time?
It is usually the sensible moment, because the scaffolding is already up and doing it later means paying for access twice. We will quote it as a separate line so you can decide.
Why is scaffolding sometimes missing from a quote?
Because leaving it out makes a quote look cheaper. It is a real cost on every re-roof and it has to be paid by somebody. Ours is in the written quote from the start.
Is the work guaranteed?
Yes. Ten years on workmanship and materials, insurance backed through the Confederation of Roofing Contractors, so the cover does not depend on us still trading.
