An ageing tiled roof that had deteriorated over time, which the owner wanted upgraded to a modern system built for long term performance.

What We Found

The roof had worn tiles, failing felt and outdated detailing around key areas such as the chimney and abutments. We stripped it back to the rafters, removing all old tiles, battens and underlay, which exposed the structure for a thorough inspection before rebuilding.

What We Did

A new breathable membrane across the entire roof, then new treated battens accurately spaced for the replacement tiles. The property was re-tiled in modern interlocking concrete tiles in a dark finish. New lead flashing was installed and dressed around the chimney stack for a watertight seal at all junctions, and the abutment where the roof meets the wall, including the low level window detail, was fully reworked with new lead soakers and cover flashings. All verge and edge details were finished neatly.
