A complete refelt and rebatten of the existing roof structure, together with a modern dry ridge system.

What We Found

All existing tiles, old felt and deteriorated battens were carefully removed, and the roof timbers and underlying structure thoroughly inspected to confirm soundness.

What We Did

High performance breathable roofing felt was installed across the entire roof as a secondary barrier against moisture, then new treated timber battens fitted at correct spacing and alignment for optimal tile support and ventilation. An advanced dry ridge system was installed, which resists the cracking and degradation that affects mortar, promotes airflow within the roof space and removes the need for repointing. The tiles were then reinstated and secured to the new battening, with expert attention to the verges, hips and flashing for a watertight finish.
