A deteriorating flat roof that was letting water into the structure below, with the owner also wanting a skylight fitted to bring in natural light.

What We Found

The covering had reached the end of its lifespan. After removing the old felt system we stripped back to the timber joists, which let us assess the framework, remove all saturated insulation and replace any compromised materials.

What We Did

New OSB decking boards were installed across the roof to create a strong, level surface, and fresh insulation fitted to improve thermal performance. A high performance torch on felt system was then installed, each layer heat bonded for a fully sealed membrane. Particular attention went to the detailing around the skylight upstand, with precision cutting and careful sealing for complete waterproof protection at all junctions and edges.
