A damp prone and uninhabitable lower ground space. The owner was experiencing significant moisture ingress with visible damp patches on the walls, which made the basement unsuitable for use.

What We Found

The basement was cleared and the old wall coverings removed to expose the bare structure, so the waterproofing could be applied directly and correctly.

What We Did

A waterproof tanking slurry was applied to create a watertight barrier against moisture ingress, critical junctions were reinforced and a high performance damp proof membrane installed. The walls were then rendered with a durable sand and cement mix for a smooth, moisture resistant finish, working carefully around existing pipework and electrical installations, and the basement left clean, dry and ready for use.
