Project Overview

The existing roof had reached the end of its lifespan, with tired tiles, worn-out battens, and failing underlay. Our team carried out a complete strip-off before rebuilding the entire roofing structure with modern, durable materials designed to protect the home for decades to come.

1. Full Roof Strip-Off

We began by removing all existing tiles, ridge tiles, and old battens. This exposes the roof rafters and gives us a clean, safe foundation to work from. All waste materials were safely lowered and disposed of responsibly.

2. Roof Deck Inspection & Repairs

Once stripped, we inspected every section of the timber structure. Any weakened or weathered rafters were repaired or reinforced to ensure the new roof sits on a solid, long-lasting frame.

3. Installation of New Breathable Membrane

We then laid a high-performance breathable roofing membrane, fixed neatly across the entire roof area. This membrane is essential for preventing water ingress while still allowing ventilation, helping to avoid long-term issues like damp and condensation.

4. Fixing New Treated Battens

Treated roofing battens were measured, spaced, and securely fixed, creating perfectly level guidelines for the tile installation. Precision here ensures the finished roof looks flawless and performs exactly as it should.

5. Tile Installation

With the prep complete, we began laying the new roof tiles. The images show our team working methodically from the bottom upward, ensuring every tile is clipped, fixed, and aligned correctly.
