Site Preparation & Safety:
Erecting necessary scaffolding or access equipment to ensure a safe working environment. Protecting surrounding areas, including windows, doors, and garden, from any potential damage during the works.
Removal of Existing Roof Covering:
Careful stripping and removal of the existing felt roof covering, underlay, and any associated flashings. Inspections of the underlying rroof deck for any signs of rot, damage or moisture.
Installation of New Three-Layer Torch-On Felt System:
A vapour control layer will be installed directly onto the prepared roof deck to prevent condensation from rising into the roof structure. A 2mm torch-on underlay will be applied to the entire roof area, providing the first layer of waterproofing. A high-performance 4mm mineral felt cap sheet will be expertly torched-on to the underlay. This final layer provides excellent UV protection and a durable, long-lasting finish.
Detailing & Finishing:
New lead flashings will be installed where the flat roof meets any adjoining walls to ensure a watertight seal. Drip edges and trims will be fitted to the perimeter of the roof to ensure proper water run-off into the gutters. Any existing guttering will be cleared of debris and re-fixed as necessary.
Site Clearance & Waste Disposal:
All project-related waste and debris will be removed from the site and disposed of responsibly. The work area will be left clean and tidy upon completion of the project.
